For some strange reason I have been CRAVING seaweed salads lately. Last weekend I ordered it as an appetizer at dinner, but found myself wishing I could just make a whole meal out of it. Therefore, this past weekend I did just that! Bonus to salads is that they are super fast and easy to assemble. I pretty much just grabbed some other ingredients I had in the fridge/freezer and combined them with the already prepared seaweed mix. Fast. Tasty. Easy. Healthy. aka – my kind of meal. So without further ado, here is my creation!
Tanya’s Super Seaweed Salad Ingredients:
- Seaweed Salad (purchased prepared from the supermarket – since locating and preparing this part was too much effort for me)
- Frozen shrimp that I sautéed.
- Yellow bell pepper strips.
- Vitamin D-fortified white button mushrooms (that I also sautéed).
After creating this I found a blog completely devoted to seaweed salads! Check it out for some other DIY seaweed salad recipes (http://seaweed-salad-recipe.blogspot.com/).
If you were to create a seaweed salad entrée what ingredients would you add?
