Just Peanuts – Krema/Crazy Richard’s Review, Giveaway and Recipes

Hello everyone! While the blogging has been non-existent the past few months I am back today with a review and giveaway for one of my personal favorite products – Krema Peanut Butter! If you know me or have read this blog before you are well aware that I usually don’t go even a day without eating peanut butter. In fact, in 2012 one of the items on my “to-do list” was to limit my peanut butter consumption to 2 jars a month since I was averagingย  A JAR A WEEK ! Fortunately that restriction is over! ๐Ÿ˜‰


Now let’s cut to the chase…what makes Krema/Crazy Richard’s (same peanut butter, just sold under different labels depending upon where you live) Natural Peanut Butter one of my favorites? It’s simple, the Ingredient List has just 1 item: Peanuts! Maybe you are thinking, “umm, Tanya…aren’t all “Natural” peanut butters made out of just peanuts?” Sadly this is not the case as a lot of natural peanut butters will have palm oil, sugar, molasses and/or salt added as well. No thanks to that…give me legit peanut butter, please!

You guys should have seen the “happy dance” I did when I came home to find a box from Krema waiting for me. Since I regularly buy this brand anyway, it was so nice to have it delivered right to my door and my cabinet restocked for freeย  – thanks Krema company for helping to fuel my peanut butter habit ๐Ÿ™‚ .

I wasted no time putting my samples to good use. Virtually every morning my breakfast looks something like this. Oatmeal, Fruit (you can’t tell, but bananas were cooked into these particular oats), Whey Protein, and PEANUT BUTTER!

If breakfast isn’t the above, it’s likely a peanut butter and blueberry protein smoothie. Then of course there is my dessert of choice to end the day, Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein “Cake”. Literally just liquid egg whites mixed with whey protein and microwaved and then topped with…you guessed it…PEANUT BUTTER!

And my new favorite way to use Krema peanut butter?


So easy to make that even I can do it

  • 1.25 c. Whey protein (I used Candy Bar flavor from DenovoNutrition)
  • 1 c. Oats
  • 1 c. Krema/Crazy Richard’s Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 0.25 c. honey


  • Mix whey protein and oats in 1 bowl.
  • Mix peanut butter and honey in a larger bowl and microwave ~60 seconds.
  • Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mix thoroughly.
  • Add water as need (I usually add at least 0.5 c)
  • Pour in pan and stick in fridge/freezer to harden up!!

While I am in the “Crunchy PB” camp, Krema/Crazy Richard’s comes in both Smooth and Creamy or Crunchy options. Both have a fabulous fresh and rich roasted peanut flavor which leaves their overly sweet and salty competitors in the dust! Anxious to get your hands on some Krema/Crazy Richard’s peanut butter?     Mmmmm…I love simple nut butters!! I followed both FB pages to keep up with the products. I don’t have a favorite “recipe” per say, but my go-to snack is a Fuji apple with a natural nut butter spread…delish! I will be trying your brownie recipe for sure!

    Well I’m a college student, so the best recipe is a fast recipe. Mix 1 scoop of whey, 2 tbsp peanut butter, a drop of milk in a mug, nukka that until it’s hot (stirring every 15s to avoid hardening), mix in some nuts, top with chocolate type ice cream (banana split is my favorite)

    That chocolate peanut butter protein cake really looks amazing. I love peanut butter paired with bananas. It’s like my favorite combination ever. I like to put peanut butter on a banana boat with chocolate chips and toffee. I followed both Krema PB and Crazy Richard’s PB on Twitter =)

    I love peanut butter, and my fave way to enjoy it is in PB chocolate chip brownies. Not healthy, but worth the indulgence ever now and then!

    Can’t agree more Tanya! Krema has been my go-to pb when I was down in VA, but I can’t find it up north ๐Ÿ˜ฆ been opting for Teddy these days.
    But an awesome recipe to try… flourlessss pb bread- blend a bunch of steamed broccoli or cauliflower (as much as you can fit in the blender) with egg whites, vanilla protein (plant protein like pea or hemp works best, but whey will do) and a huge hunck of peanut butter. Use as much egg whites to make a batter consistency that is pourable but not as thon as pancakes
    Bake in a bread loaf tin at 350 for 45 min. Chocolate is also good!

    I love peanut butter swirled fudge brownies! They are so yummy and melt in your mouth like a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup!

    Gave them an IG follow! My favorite post-run treat is a few spoonfuls of PB + plain greek yogurt + cinnamon for an apple dip or stand-alone dish. I’ve never heard of these brands before but am intrigued ๐Ÿ™‚

    I will put peanut butter on almost anything. I think one of my favourite things in eggs & peanut butter. I also like dipping a spoonful in a tub of almonds or flax seed. I would consider myself the luckiest person in the world if I won this because I am fresh out of school and cannot afford good peanut butter.

    It might sound weird, but my favorite way to use peanut butter is with fresh spinach on flatbread. It makes an awesome, satisfying, nutritious snack.

    Those brownies are amazing but now I have to make that cake! I love the old fashioned PB cookies with Hershey kisses though or PB on my sweet potato ๐Ÿ™‚ Totally followed Kreme/Crazy Richards on all social media! I need more ways to eat PB all day long!

    yumm yummm yumm! I typically buy my PB from Trader Joe’s for that reason because it is just peanuts, or I make my own. I would love to try this brand! My favorite recipe is right off the spoon ๐Ÿ™‚

    My favorite peanut butter recipe is Nora’s Nut Balls. My favorite way to eat peanut butter isn’t a recipe. I like to stir cocoa and shredded coconut and chia seeds into a half full jar of peanut butter. mmmm
