This month we are celebrating National Salsa Month and I am super excited. Creating my own salsa has always been on my “to-do” list, yet I have NEVER done it! That will be changing this month. I have lined up several unique salsa recipes I want to try, and I plan to do a bit of my own experimenting as well. Below are a few recipes that have caught my eye:
What is your favorite type of salsa? Do you make your own? What salsa recipes do you recommend I try out? (Please post a link in the comments section of your own personal recipe if you have blogged about it before!)
My favorite is my fruit salsa: http://forthehealth.com/2011/03/easy-fruit-salsa-and-baked-cinnamon-sugar-chips/
I can’t wait to remake it to bring to summer parties this year!
I have a tendency towards more the pico de gallo recipes. The more lime the better! I don’t have a special recipe though…yet…
I am a fan of sweet corn and blackbean salsa. I do not discriminate on my salsa, however the fresher the better.
I absolutely LOVE salsa!! I actually just canned 5 pints with tomatoes and jalapenos from our garden 🙂 I am not sure where I got the recipe, but would be happy to email my version if you are interested. Happy Salsa Month!!
Mmm… I love Salsa!! I’ve been eating it like crazy lately. I must’ve subconsciously known that it was national salsa month, haha!
MMMuuummmm…salsa!!!! I am loving the idea of that spicy carrot salsa, how great does that sound??!!! Pineapple salsa, the mango is a classic, Samantha mentioned pico…ALL good!!! You will have to let us know what you uncover!
I love salsa!!!
I definitely like salsa verde, but really there aren’t too many salsas I don’t love!
I recently made a mango salsa that was delicious!
Love salsa! Although just thinking about it is making me crave nachos!! Damn! Ha! 🙂
I don’t know if it’s exactly a salsa but it’s perfect for snacking . . . I just take pico de gallo and add diced thick pieces of lunch meat turkey and black beans. It’s healthy and so tasty! Happy May 😉
mmm my friend made the best homemade peach salsa! It was great on all kinds of things 🙂
