May is National Salsa Month

This month we are celebrating National Salsa Month and I am super excited. Creating my own salsa has always been on my “to-do” list, yet I have NEVER done it! That will be changing this month. I have lined up several unique salsa recipes I want to try, and I plan to do a bit of my own experimenting as well. Below are a few recipes that have caught my eye:

Spicy Carrot Salsa from Just Another Day on the Farm

Cucumber Mango Salsa from All Recipes

Fruit Salsa from Taste of Home

What is your favorite type of salsa? Do you make your own? What salsa recipes do you recommend I try out? (Please post a link in the comments section of your own personal recipe if you have blogged about it before!)

I am a fan of sweet corn and blackbean salsa. I do not discriminate on my salsa, however the fresher the better.

I absolutely LOVE salsa!! I actually just canned 5 pints with tomatoes and jalapenos from our garden 🙂 I am not sure where I got the recipe, but would be happy to email my version if you are interested. Happy Salsa Month!!

I don’t know if it’s exactly a salsa but it’s perfect for snacking . . . I just take pico de gallo and add diced thick pieces of lunch meat turkey and black beans. It’s healthy and so tasty! Happy May 😉
